Friday night we started bidding farewell to the Bel Aire. Our stay there was wonderful and we greatly enjoyed the quiet beach and especially the water trampoline that was there. But its on to bigger and better things! Or something like that ;) Here's the picture of the Fridays sunset.
Saturday awakened us (or MOST of us... I um, didn't... I missed this by just about 20 minutes) with a beautiful double rainbow! If you sort of squint and faintly imagine you can see the second rainbow atop the first one. Grrr, a short 20 minutes... Ah well.
We packed up all our stuff and got it stashed away in a back room because we couldn't check into our second resort for another 4 hours. Then we had a late breakfast/early lunch on the beach.
So long Bel Aire!
They have to put these rocks in for wave breakers so people don't get too pummelled. Its also beautiful... Gee, what doesn't the Caribbean have?? I purpose we should all move down here!
That evening, in our new resort, the Flamingo we played Quiddler (a fun mix between Scrabble and Rummy) and had our ice cream. They found a special at the store. Only $5 a container! And we tried out a new flavor. Its cookies and creme but its with Chips Ahoy instead of Oreo. Very good!
This was the guy from the car rental place. We had to use a car during the day on Saturday and he brought us over our van in the evening. Aparrently, Marge really reminded him of his own Aunt Marge :) He says one of the things he best remembers about his Aunt Marge is that she would make him cookies, so when Crystal and Marge went grocery shopping the got the makings for Chocolate Chip Cookies and are going to take him some! How sweet is that!? Plus we benefit from the whole deal. We get to try the cookies first :)
