A moment of Silence please.

Hey Everybody.... ( that was said in a very depressed sort of voice.)

May we have a moment of silence please, for my much loved, but recently, dearly departed sunglasses.....

Okay, done with that, here's a fun picture to break the sadness, ( but notice the sunglasses got to be in the picture. ( sniff sniff ) I think that's the last picture we have together.....

-Rach

kind of a dumb post

Hey All. It's Rach here.
This is kind of a dumb post, but I LOVE today.
It is BEAUTIFUL outside. So the reason for this being a dumb post is because that if any of you have any type of bodily temperature gauge, or even eyeballs, you can see how gloriously sunny it is outside, and you can feel the slight breeze that makes it even more wonderful.
Well, I guess that's all I know.
Get outside and enjoy this HappyAwesome Saturday.
:)

Memorial Weekend

Over Memorial Weekend Mom, Dad and Rachel camped
with Mourey and Marge at Mendota Hills.
Criky and I hung out there during the days and came home late
in the nights, but preferred our own beds...
We all had a GREAT time, and did manage to get some pictures!
So, these are not in any particular order, but here are a bunch
of pictures from our weekend!

Dad's bluegill.

The campfire from Friday night. It was so hot that on Saturday night, somebody threw a cardboard box in the fire pit, and a few minutes later it ignited itself!

The guys fixing the door...
Somebody didn't realize that the door was closed, and walked
right into the screen and knocked the door off of the hinges :)
NO IT WASN'T ME!
Breakfast Saturday morning,
Homemade waffles! DELICIOUS!
Jamie headed up a carpetball tournament.
I didn't participate, but it sure looked like fun!
'Annie' who did games with the children on Saturday afternoon.
Water balloon toss, bean bags, balloon animals, face painting,
(well, hand painting) ect...
Crystal ended up doing the painting while Sue (er, Annie)
made balloon animals.
The kids (and the not so young) really liked it!
I saw people walking around all day with balloon hats
and paintings all over themselves all day.
Everybody trying to cool off...
It didn't work so well, but it felt good to sit down for a while.
Since the sitting in the shade to cool off didn't work so well
we decided to go sit in a boat, on water that reflects all the sun rays,
and wear suffocating life jackets for an hour...
But it was fun!
Mrs. Z really had the idea!
Sunday marked 20 years of a church service being held
at Mendota Hills!!! 20 years!
The big Memorial Weekend crew.
My Aunt, Cousin, and Grandpa came too!
And Sunday evening, after playing volleyball, visiting
the Nursing Home, and helping load up the Ziglers, we played
some ladder ball!
I'm afraid we weren't very good...
It took us like 40 minutes to play 1 game...
But it was a good relaxing way to end our weekend.
Oh, and then we stopped at the store for Ice Cream on the way out!
Perfect!

That's what I call fun!

The other day we went to the park with our friends
the Lees! We had a picnic supper and then waded
in the creek that was next to the picnic table. We didn't take many pictures, just a few when we got there
and a group shot before we left.
But hey, I figure if we got to have such a good time
I should share it, and do a blog post about it, right?
Where the water came out of the spring it was REALLY cold!
Like numb your legs all the way to your knees cold!
But it was a lot warmer if you walked to where it was deeper.
On the little kids, "deeper" was waist high...
And then almost everybody just decided to swim.
Okay so we're crazy, you knew that anyway!
Thanks for a great night!
Yep, that's what I call FUN!

Girl Day!

Last Tuesday we went on a girl day!
Me, Crik, Rach, Mom, Melody, Zoe,
Mrs. Zigler, Mrs. Hemmer, and my Mom!
Melody needed to get stuff from Sam's for the ICHE convention
and my mom was the one with the Sam's card.
So we just made a day of it!
No girls day is complete unless we go to the mall!
Yea, we do weird stuff,
but that just makes it all the more fun!

We had a great time, and found a bunch of cool stuff!
(And had some ice cream on the way home...)
Thanks Mom for taking us!

A little photo fun

Okay, so I know there better things that could be occupying
my time right now, but I'm just sitting here blogging and
eating peanut brittle...
We have this thing on our computer for photo editing.
It doesn't do much but remove red eye, and change color,
or crop a picture, but I like it and have a great time messing
around with the color and all!
So I re-did some of these attempted "artistic" shots
that we took on a junk pile. :) (yeah, weird)
I really like this one of Rachel!

It's the Most Wonderful Time.. Of the YEAR!!!!!

YEEHAW!!!!
Okay, now I know it's not Christmas or anything, but the phrase stuck in my head... ( most wonderful time.... )
You may ask why???
Well DUH!!!!!
I started RIDING LESSONS Today!!!!!!!
It was REALLY Fun.
A new location too, ( with 20 acres~!!!! )
Sorry, we didn't get Crystal's camera before we left, so we'll have to have this post pictureless until next week until I'm sure we'll readily supply lots of pictures....
AAAAAhhhh. ( that was my contented sigh ) It's good to be back to lessons....
:)
All that said, you can all go to sleep happy, knowing that Rach, in KalebaughVille is HAPPY, * even if a little sore* Tonight.....

D.L.F

Here is a picture of my D.L.F. (dear little friend).
And even though its not an iPod, I still enjoy it.

Happy Birthday!

Grandpa's birthday was on May 20th!
A lot of us got together and had a party for him at his
house on the Saturday before.
It was a lot of fun getting to hang out with a bunch of family.
We took so many pictures it was hard to narrow it down and
decide what to put on the blog. I posted a lot, so be forewarned!
Karley and "her Rachel". :)
Uncle Hank and his dog Muffy.
Me and my little cousin Josey.
Hannah and Julie.
Josh and Dad, the grillers! Yay, yay, for them
(and anybody else that made food).
Cameron.
Sherry getting some documentation...
She blogged before I did :)
Petting the horses!
Awwww!
Grandpa gave the little kids rides on his scooter.
Me n' Karley.

Going through the food line!
I tried it all, it was all delicious!
(do I sound like the Refuge rat?)

Reagan.

We FILLED up the backyard.
I'm SO thankful that the weather was nice!
We never would have fit if we all had to cram into the house.

The baby birds that live on top of Grandpa's aluminum ladder.
They're so ugly that they're almost cute! Almost.

Reagan and Karley.

Sam and Josh.

Sherry and Sarah.
Sarah and Aunt Melinda.
Sarah and Josh were the reigning champions.
They beat all the others who played them.
Grandpa and his birthday cake!
Everybody getting pictures of Grandpa and his birthday cake :)
Grandpa and Reagan.
Aaahhh, ice cream!
Grandpa and a few of us grandkids.
Wet Willy!
Sherry and Aunt Melinda.
Grandpa was exhausted by the end of the day,
but still smiling!
All that to say, Happy Birthday Grandpa!!!
I love you SO much, and am so thankful that
you are in my life!
