A week late...

What is it with me that I can never seem to blog about something
until a week after it has happened???!!!
Last Week, for our Friday Fun Night, we had the Zigler family over!

Of course we ate...
And after that we tried on some of Rachel's new hats!

Look! It's "lumberjack" Beck and Joy!
And we played games...

Some of us played more "cutely" than others.

Why? Tell me why do kids do this stuff?
We played the newspaper game that our friends the Kotzem's
taught us how to play this summer.
We had to stop because some people were getting to violent...
But hey, what better reason to play the new Wii?!
I don't know if you can see it in this picture, but Joy decided we were
going on a trip in the car... She tied the piece of cloth that holds our
curtains away from the windows around my waist for my
"seat belt".

We stayed up WAY to late, and had a really fun time!
Thanks Ziglers!

Daily Chronicle of a 'smart' Twin...

Let's see,
Where should I really start?
Any way that I tell this story, I still come out sounding just like the goofball I am...unless of course I make myself sound heroic....

Yesterday, as I made my way out to the garbage cans ( on the side of our garage ) I heard a small voice, SCREAMING for help!! I ( being the very helpful, and tenderhearted soul that I am ) immediately ran towards the voice.
Only to find out that the brutes, were attacking a small child and his puppydog. ( even though it was a stuffed toy the child was beyond comforting, for there, on the street lay all the toy dog's stuffing, strung out by the big bad kids )
So I jumped in to the fight, all to save a small child and his stuffed toy, only after about 7 of the kids were down ( after my sudden onslaught full of rage, and desperation for a puppydog ) was I hit. Strait in the mouth! my lip swelled up and slowly started to bleed. I did not stop though. I only stopped when the child, his puppy, and the small pocketfull of stuffing we could retrieve, were safely back home.
Then I went back into our house, ( after taking care of the garbage of course ) and nursed my injured lip. All's well in Kalebaughville, for another child has been saved by RacheltheGreat.....

NOT

Actually, how it happened was that, I Was taking the garbage out, and when I stepped outside, it was raining so hard, that where the garbage cans go, there was like 2 inches of water in front of them, and I didn't want to soak my shoes, so I just put them in the garage.
While being out in the garage, I realized that I was kind of bored. And realizing that I had already played the Wii for a few hours, played piano, trumpet, computer, and even did my schoolwork :) I spotted a ball, a softball to be more exact. Now softball, being one of my favorite activities struck me as fun, so on account of the limited space in our garage, I just grabbed the ball and started throwing it up in the air. Well, as I did better and better at throwing it, and throwing it at different angles, and bouncing it off a few places I went back to throwing it in the air, and when I looked up to catch it, somehow it hit the ceiling, and came down more quickly than I expected. It hit my right in the mouth ( even my lightning fast juggler reflexes weren't enough to stop it ) :( No pictures are needed because it really isn't that bad, ( even though all my family members walk around our house and grimace when the see me. ( come to think of it I think they do that anyway ) :) just kidding.
actually the only reason you guys don't get a picture is because no one took a picture last night, and amazingly the swelling has gone down a lot, and the bleeding stopped. so it'd be no fun to look at it anyway.
Hope you enjoyed my sufferings.
-Rachel.

Kalebaugh Floor Service?

Last Tuesday, Dad, Mom, Rach and I put in new flooring
in Rachel's and My room!
We were a little short on the puffy stuff that you put underneath,
but Uncle Ron had some extra he loaned us...
It was a different color (but you won't ever see it) and also a
different thickness, but we just doubled it up and it was a
perfect match to the blue stuff!
Wow! I'm smiling (well not really smiling, but looking
alive at 9 a.m.!!!)
Taffie came in to "help" us.
She sat on the box of flooring we were using...
And then layed :P
Snapping the first two rows into place.
For some reason Criky though the blue/duct tape floor
made her look "cool" ?
While Rach and I were weight lifting the flooring
(while waiting for dad to cut the right sized piece)
Taffie came up and started licking my face...
Here we are about 4 hours later, just starting back working.
We took a 3 hour break while Dad and Mom went to a meeting.
Lets go!
Crack that whip!
We'll get this done in no time!
Or we could play "pick one"...
The LAST piece!!!
Hooray! We're done!
It looks awesome!
(except for the peach colored border around the bottom of the walls
and by the doorway, since we haven't put up the new trim)
But we will. And then it will really look good!
Happy Tuesday!

Creepy Crawly!!!

Anybody have any idea what this weird looking thing is?
We found it this summer when we were out on a walk. I never got around to researching what is was...
So to any smart blog followers,
WHAT IS IT?

Celebrate!

Sunday, on our 17th birthday, we got to spend the day
doing one of our favorite things.
Hanging out with the Refugees!
Little did we know that a few of them had conspired to
douse us in mountains of confetti...
Mountains and mountains of confetti! It got everywhere!!!
In my mouth, nose, ears (thankfully I closed my eyes)...
On/in ALL clothing...
It was awesome!
It was extremely fun! And I still have confetti
in my sweatshirt pockets...
That evening we went bowling!
I did terrible (like 89 and 67) :(
Aren't bowling shoes just absolutely flattering?
Us and our 3rd twin!
(long story)
3rd twin bowling.
Joy, and Hoppy bowling.
We make quite a group!
There were like 20 of us.
Dad
Mr. Z
Faith.
Reid (more affectionately, Red)
Me and my Twinly!
Me... The only gutterball picture.
(notice the wings on my sweatshirt? I love them)
Mrs. Z (she must have had a strike)
I know its quirky, but I really liked this chair.
It was quite comfy.
But all good things come to an end, and
before we knew it we had played a few games
and needed to get going.
Getting our shoes on...Perfect end to a great day, PIZZA!
And a few extra minutes to be together!
The pizza place had coloring books and crayons for the kids
(so for the evening we became kids, so that we could color)
Here's to another great year of life!!!
Thanks everyone for helping make our birthday special!

Pizza Time!

For my last meal (while being 16) I wanted pizza...
And since it was Valentine's Day, I made them heart shaped!
They were delicious...
Topped with lots of bacon and cheddar cheese!
Rats! Now I'm hungry...

Soundtrack

Okay, I know the blog posts are getting a little boring here...
And we'll be back with some more interesting ones in a day or so,
but for right now, I decided to re-do our playlist!
Because it was Rachel's and my birthday on Sunday
I decided to go with a "soundtrack to our lives" kind of
theme... So enjoy!
(and if you have any song ideas (because I couldn't think
of many that described us) comment them to us!!) PLEASE!!!

Nothin' but the BEST!

Well, we all know that Valentine's Day is the holiday
that celebrates love...
But long before I was born, in fact, long before Valentine's Day,
We were all given the most sincere gift of love ever!
John 15:13 - The greatest love a person can show
is to die for his friends.
Romans 5:8 - But God showed his great love for us by
sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
And today, I realized it again, in a new way,
like I have so many times before, that God loves me!
I was struck with such an awesome sense of gratitude...
Thank you Jesus!

I Love You!

Happy Valentine's Day!
In honor of this day that celebrates love,
I've put all love songs on my playlist (except the last one)
Enjoy!
You should all go read something on St. Valentine.
And the meaning behind Valentine's day...
Its really cool!
Once again, Happy Valentines Day!
I love you all!

Psalm 96

Psalm 96
Sing a new song to the Lord!
Let the whole earth sing to the Lord!
Sing to the Lord; bless his name.
Each day proclaim the good news that he saves.
Publish his glorious deed among the nations.
Tell everyone about the amazing things he does.
Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise!
He is to be revered above all the gods.
The gods of other nations are merely idols,
but the Lord made the heavens!
Honor and majesty surround him;
strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
O nations of the world, recognize the Lord;
recognize that the Lord is glorious and strong.
Give to the Lord the glory he deserves!
Bring your offering and come to worship him.
Worship the Lord in all his holy splendor.
let all the earth tremble before him.
Tell all the nations that the Lord is king.
The world is firmly established and cannot be shaken.
He will judge all peoples fairly.
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice!
Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise!
Let the fields and their crops burst forth with joy!
let the trees of the forest rustle with praise before the Lord!
For the Lord is coming!
He is coming to judge the earth.
He will judge the world with righteousness
and all the nations with his truth.

Crafty!

Wednesday, we enlisted our friends the Waasdorp's
to help us make Valentine's cards for when we went to
the Nursing Home on Thursday.
Everyone had their own creative ideas, and with so many
of us we made like 30 in an hour!
It was fun, gave us extra time to talk, and we got
to give out some really neat cards to the Nursing Home residents!
Here are some of our finished products!!!
