Impromptu Jaunt.

Last night Dad was gone for a while. And during supper, we were tossing around

ideas for how to spend our evening. Mom piped up that "We should go get ice cream!"

Nobody disagreed, so we piled into Crystals car (Taffie too!) and went to DQ.

Then we came home and watched a chick flick :) Well, I watched it. Crystal and Mom fell asleep and Rach was preoccupied playing solitaire on her iPod... It was a lovely way to spend my Tuesday night.

Good Day

To celebrate Crystal's birthday, we took a girl day/road trip to Galena.
It was so fun! It had been a while since any of us had really gotten to

"celebrate the weekend" as I had decided to call it. It was nice getting to just

wander about and look in all the shops. :) The bookstore, coffee, candy shop visit, and ice cream weren't too bad either!

Somehow I never got around to taking a picture of the birthday girl, but here is one of me and Samantha. I love this girl!

Happy Birthday Crystal!!!!

Newest Family Member

You may or may not know this, but Rachel, Crystal and I have this "thing"

about 'adopting' siblings. Here is our newest family addition :)

We call her "Millie." Otherwise known as Carolyn.

Thursday!

Thursday, after 8 hrs. at Pegasus, Rachel and I went to Polo, met up with

Mom, Dad, Emily, Matt, Jared and Aunt Amy, and got to enjoy a concert!

Some fog machines, some pyro... :) Good times.

Breaktime

Between my break from classes I usually go and sit by the river.

I enjoy the quiet, get good reading time in, and its easier to pass the time...

But, last week I got out early and still had to wait around in town for a while.

I had exhausted about all I could do down by the river, so I decided to go for a

walk. I ended up at a cemetery meandering along the roads and kicking through the leaves.

This headstone caught my attention. Probably because it was taller than most of the other ones. Anyway, I thought it was beautiful. Sorry if it weirds some of you out.

I know it is kind of creepy putting cemetery pictures up and all... Especially

headstones of people I don't even know... Hmmm...

Hiking/Friend Time

Last night some friends and I all met up at White Pines and went

traipsing along a trail (yes 1, we walked it once, then doubled back along it to pick

up the last two of the group who showed up late, and then walked the trail

again, just the opposite way). It was wonderful!

Getting out and enjoying the beauty of autumn was just half of

what made the night so spectacular. The company was what REALLY made it so

great! I'm thinking it will definitely happen again!
