Well...

Well, I have some VBS pictures uploaded, and I was going
to post them, but we have to leave right now and I wanted to
caption the pics, so I guess you'll have to wait.
Right now we are headed to the campground to set up for CCW,
and maybe play some volleyball if we get time! :)

Some VBS pictures! (finally)

So I'm finally getting around to posting pictures from VBS!
We've did so much since just last week that it seems like
these pictures were from months ago... :)
We had a really great time with all the kids at VBS last week.
Each day was different, and they did wear us out ;) but it
was a lot of fun, and totally worth every minute!

Aunt T was the Snack Lady, and she had the coolest snacks for every day. I loved making the campfire one!

Kathy and Drena took turns doing games.
On Monday Kathy did a game (and I never heard what
it was called) but the kids had to hold a bunch of potatoes and run
with them. And the moral was, that its hard to do something if you
are carrying unnecessary weight, so let God take your burdens.
The kids loved it!
But they all agreed that it was easier if they didn't have to
hold on to all those potatoes :)
On the second day we doubled in size!
The first day there were 8 kids, and on the second day
there were over 20!
We made bookmarks out of foam crosses and got to
decorate them with sticky foam shapes.
The sticky foam had paper on the back of it, so the kids kept
us busy peeling it off.
And Crystal liked taking pictures :P
Another snack that T made was little beach scenes!
Crushed graham crackers, on the top of a pudding cup,
with teddy grahams for people, and little umbrellas.
Jared and Andrew thought they were a little "old" for Bible School
and didn't want their pictures taken, but Crystal did manage
to get a few :)
It looks like they were all in time out sitting against the wall :)
Drena did a game, and it was "Hungry for God".
The kids had to fill their cups full of water by carrying
a spoonful at a time from a bowl at the other side of the room.
:) The floor was quite wet by the time the game was over...
I was the judge to see who had the most water in their cup.
(I hope I picked right!!)
Because we had puppets that came and "helped out"
and did the part of the lesson each day, the kids got to make
paper bag puppets for their craft one day!
I think its neat getting to see each kids creativity on how
they made their puppet. How it was decorated, what colors,
how much and how long of hair, ect...
The only bad thing about this craft was that we only had
one bottle of glue, (to put the eyes and hair on) and one pair
of scissors to cut the yarn that we used for hair.
So it did take quite a while, but the kids all loved it!
One day we made edible acorns for snacks!
They were plain donut balls, with chocolate frosting on top, and
they had crushed heath bar candy and a mini pretzel rod in order
to finish it off!
They tasted great and looked SO cool!
The game for one day was where you race to
put on all the clothes that were in your bag first.
It was a major hit, and some of the adults played too :)
The "apostle Paul" came to visit on Thursday.
He talked to the kids about how God had changed his life,
and that Jesus was the only thing worth anything to him now.
Another snack was mini fruit pizzas!
And again it was fun seeing the kids decorate their pizzas.
Some of them would do designs, others would just pile it on,
or separate their fruits, or eat it all separate.
Rachel and Zoe did the game on the last day.
The kids had to do a relay race and see whose team could get done first!
They used balls and made the kids do different things with them.
Roll it on the ground just using your nose to push it,
hop while holding the ball between your knees, two people hold
it between their heads, stuff like that.
And on the last day, the snack was Ice Cream and lots of mix-ins!
Oh yeah!
We had such a great time, and I really hope that we
impacted some kids' lives!

Thank you Jesus for giving us such a wonderful opportunity!

4H fair

Okay, SO last Friday, I got to go to the Lee County 4H fair.
My Riding Teacher Emily W. Invited me to go with her and help direct cars.

I hadn't been to the 4H fair before ( let alone direct cars via horseback ) So I had a really good time. We were there from like 3:30 to about 6:00. ( then a storm started blowing in so Emily decided that it'd be safer to take the horses and get them home before the storm got bad )
Mom and Dad ( and Crystal and Becky ) were there hanging out, so we got some supper and headed around to do some looking around.
( Trixie the horse I rode ( who was a very good girl I might add ) )

I liked the pigs the best I think :) ( No comments about similarities between us please )Then there was this curlyhorned sheep kinda thing that looked pretty cool.
This bunny was cute but almost kindof creepy looking :)
Than of course you have to have cows at a 4H fair...
And tractors in farm country. Good Ol' John Deere!

the end for now :)
