Winter Day (when the weather feels like Spring)

Well people, today I tried a new pizza crust recipe,
(it turned out awesome)
read an entire book,
watched the movie I got for Christmas,
found my lost-for-a-week sunglasses,
and chased a wild opossum with three of my best friends.
I can go to bed here in Hickville now knowing that
somewhere, someone is skydiving and having the time of their life!
Boy I wish it was me.
Kindof.
I did have a really good day (even though most people
would consider it boring)

O My GOSH

I Can TOTALLY not believe that Becky did a post about math.... I take that back, Yes, I can believe that she did a post on math, what I can't believe is that she actually gave math a thumbs
up!!!
Just a few weeks ago I read a quote by a very very intellegent person... ( Mark Hall of CastingCrowns ) It was " Algebra is not from God "... ( of course I think he also mentioned something about him and the Algebra teacher being best friends after 3 years of the same class together ) :)
Just letting you know. I was not a part of the last post. ( Funny yes, and yeah, Drena and Reid helped us have a great night ( whereas it would have been pretty boring otherwise ) But I won't give math a condoning factor. ( No treason coming from my lips )......
I say... LONG LIVE CHRISTMAS VACATION!!!!!!!
MY VOICE SHALL NOT BE DROWNED OUT!!!!!
--a distressed twin--

Math.

Okay, I know we've got some homeschoolers that read our blog.
So moms, just take it from me. Let the kids have a day off math!
Once they read this post we'll have covered the subject.
(not to mention it will be a fun math lesson and you'll get the day off too!)
Friends+Dessert=Fun!
Scrabble + Fortune Cookies = A long game, or depression.
(I ate 2 cookies, both my fortune's (in not so many words)
said either, I was fat, or talked about dieting...)

No math lesson + lots of ice cream = Really happy kids!
(but maybe not so happy moms, because even though you
got an hour off of teaching, you have to clean the paint out of the bathtub/get the soap off the
walls since the kids were shaking so bad from sugar overload that they couldn't see and didn't care...

And, to much of a good thing=not so good.
This one is seriously true. Believe me, I know from experience!
(I ate too much pie...)
Okay so math is not my subject, and the equations are not
mathematically sound...
Go pull out your math books kids, truthfully, its not that bad!
I can't believe I just did a post about math... :0
-beck

And thank you Drena and Reid for coming and
giving us such a fun evening!

the EXTERMINATION of the princess phone

Attention. The post you are about to read is not for small children, or for princess lovers of the world... it is ... what should I say... gruesome.

Sunday afternoon we decided to accomplish some much needed business. The Princess phone was to be exterminated...

Jamie told us all to stand back, ( I'm not sure if he was implying that we might do something dumb, like run out in front of him, or if he was afraid of hitting someone or something else valuable )

We backed up to a safe distance, and awaited patiently.

Jamie took careful aim......

He hit it !!! Now, it wasn't an exact bulls eye or anything, ( the aim was the princesses ) but considering what a small target he was aiming at, it wasn't bad, as you can see.. ( he hit the corner where the wires are now exposed. )

It wasn't good enough just to hit the corner ( and there were some more bullets left over ) so again the got ready. And this time Mark, and My dad joined in.

after a few more shots.... this was the phone's fate....

So there you have it !!!!!!! :)
--See all the fun you all missed out on since you weren't there --

O for Goodness Sake.

What in the world is the weather doing to us???
For Goodness sake... IT'S DECEMBER!! This should all be SNOW! Not RAIN!!!!
--from, a little ticked off in Kalebaughville--

It's still Christmas!

Well, I'm the type of person who likes to leave all Christmas decorations up until New Years.
So we're going to leave Christmas music and decor. up until then!

Here's a Christmas picture of my awesome dog!

Its Finally Here!

Happy Birthday Jesus!
Its your special day!
I love you!!!!!!

I'm not good at poetry, and I don't know a lot of big words.
So I guess this is just my humble way of saying thank you.

THANK YOU JESUS for doing what you didn't have to do. For me.
Once again. I love you.

Luke 1:49-51a
For he, the Mighty One, is holy, and he has done great things for me.
His mercy goes on from generation to generation,
to all who fear him.
His mighty arm does tremendous things!

Luke 2:14
Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and peace on earth to all whom God favors.

Merry Christmas everyone!!

COOKIES!!!!!!

Tuesday we had our Christmas Cookie Baking day.

We made like 50 dozen gingerbread... ( well maybe it was more like 6 dozen ) Crystal was very good, most of it fell on her due to my not liking to cook very much, but I rolled out all the cookies and did mix one batch for her. Our Idea was to make Christmas Trees by stacking the stars. We also did some Sugar Cookies, ( but there are no pictures of them )

Due to a VERY long day in the kitchen I was tired of just cutting out Cookies, so hence... Da da DAAAA THE LEANING TOWER OR COOKIE DOUGH!!!!!!

This was only like half of the gingerbread we made, *** not counting sugar cookies!

While Crystal and I were in charge of cookies, bless Becky.. She made every one's ( or most every one's ) Favorites... The Cracker Things!!!! Crystal helped some..

Wonderful, Beautiful, Chocolate

Becky ALSO made all of the pretzels. I love all the sprinkley's on top.

This was the work/s of art. Mom and Dad helped with this part, but I didn't have a good picture that I could find of their trees, Crystal's blog might...
The Tree on the Top Left, Becky did. I think that was the tree that took the longest due to having to COVER the tree with frosting. The one on the Top Right, I did. ( that was my favorite one that I did ) And on the Lower right Crystal did that one.

This was us after being in the kitchen WAY to Long.

After all of that, I don't think I want to see another granule of sugar.

Kalebaugh Christmas

This post is 2 weeks late, but I still wanted to blog about it anyway.Every year, on a weekend in December since I've probably been 6
we have hosted 'Kalebaugh Christmas'.
They tell me that it used to be held at my other aunts' houses,
but as far back as I can remember, it has been at our house.

As many of us that we can get together come.
We always try to make it a weekend that at least all of my dad's siblings can be there.
A house full of Kalebaughs.
It's kind of an intimidating thought!
There is always quite a bit of noise, and a lot of out of pitch singing. ;)
~For your sakes I have not included video footage~

Now granted, we don't have the biggest house (which many of you know)
but we figure that a few times a year we can all squish together in one place.

And we always have a great time together!

This year we (but mostly Crik) made necklace/bracelet sets
for all the aunts and adult cousins.
We put them in these awesome bags.
(awesome and yet they kind of scare me too)
For some reason I just have this invisionment (i have no idea if that is a word and if it is i know i didn't spell it right)
of these things overrunning our house and taking over the world...

Scary things go on in my mind.

One essential (and I mean ESSENTIAL) at any Kalebaugh

get together is food.

Seriously. The majority of all that we do is eat.

Yum Yum!

Here's Jared, resting up before eating.

We even indoctrinate the young ones.

Although buddy, I don't think a camera is your best choice...

Here are some some pictures of some of my cousins.

Brett.
Him and his sisters, Morgan and Abby.

Damon. Landon.

(I think he looks like he's trying to tell us a story)
Here's Uncle Ron, and Jeremy.

Cameron, my awesome nephew!

(It's crazy how much I love this kid)
Uncle Joe, Uncle Rich, and Uncle Ron.

And a family picture.

3 day's til CHRISTmas!!!!!!

Big Brother time!

Only 8 more days until Christmas!
YAY!

The other day Josh was over here we got a picture together,
We were all matching (relatively)!
Most times when we get a picture we either don't match,
or at least one of us looks terrible!
But this time almost all of them turned out great!

We love you Josh!

My Last Riding Lesson.

My last riding lesson was today *(sob)*I can't believe how fast it all went. It seems like just a month or 2 ago that I got to start.
It has been a blast. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Rave is so great. He taught me many things. He still pulled these sudden stops, that nearly sent me barreling into the ground, or didn't want to trot and stuff, But he was a great lesson horse.
But he also is so gentle, and if he felt me slipping, he'd slow down, and stop. I couldn't have asked for anything better.

I can't hardly believe how much God blessed me this year. Riding lessons being just one of the many ways.
I always wanted to take lessons, and he provided so awesomely.

I get to resume in April !!! Boy is that going to be a long 4 1/2 months.

A BIG Thanks to Crystal and my mom, you all get to see pictures of my lessons.
And to Mom, Crystal, Drena, and Dad for playing chauffeur for so many weeks.

The Dogs are so cute. At my lesson they all 3 lined up along the fence and alternated watching Me, Rave, and Emily, and wrestling, and gnawing on each other.

This picture of Buddy just melted my heart. ( almost as much as the Christmas Queen picture from our last post )
There's no such thing as 'being afraid of dogs' when your with them.

Thank you Emily. I really don't know what to say. You've been so great. Encouraging me when I'm doing awful, finding things to praise, when I don't think I'm doing anything right. Becoming such a good friend of mine in the short time I've known you. Having fun, and laughing over anything.
Thank you for teaching me so much.
April will never come soon enough for me.
