Taking on Sterling!
Tonight was the follow-up meeting for the youth rally that us 3 helped out with last weekend. We decided that Dairy Queen was a "must" :)

Monday Night
Tonight for our "Monday supper night" we were going to have a bonfire and cook hotdogs and s'mores. Alas, it was too windy for a bonfire so we had to take up having fun in the house. Dad grilled the hotdogs and we made the s'mores in the oven.
Here Cameron and I were playing with this disgusting black slime he bought at a book fair. We found out it made really sick noises when we sucked it up or blew it out of straws! I love this dude...

Feeling Loved
My dear little friends Joy and Hiram felt the "need" for some time with Becky apparently, so we banished their parents and older siblings and I went to babysit.

Easter Part 1
Easter this year was special. Compared to some past Easters this years crowd was relatively small, but it was so wonderful! I went to church with Josh, we went to see Devyn sing in the children's choir at her Mommys church. Then we picked up Cameron and high-tailed it back home to help finish dinner preparations.
Reunion!
It had been since before Christmas, but when we went for the Pegasus recruitment/training day we got to hang out with the Eden twins!
Playing Hooky...
Rachel and Crystal went to Bloomington one Saturday for a work thing and Rachel was farm-sitting that weekend, so I went to farm-sit for her while they were gone. They got home really late that night so we elected to play hooky from church and just relax out with the animals. Part way through the morning Rachel got Crystal and I on a little horsey ride... Yes, she neglected to give us saddles. I'm not sure who enjoyed themselves more, Crystal and I getting to ride, or Rachel watching our hilarious selves slip and slide all over the horses backs!
"Lil bro" Michael (and dearest sister Millie) rode with us. And we all came away with our hearing still intact so our parents weren't too disturbed :)
Good Times!
Ah young life... Yay for weekends and carefree-ness. A sporadic decision that we *needed* to do something while our parents were away, landed us at the drive-in theater the other night. Here we were eating our forbidden kit-kats... Being the good pastors kids we are :P we decided that we weren't breaking the rules by taking in "outside" food, because we kept it INSIDE the truck!
Genius!
Lots of laughs, lots of chocolate, good times! I'm glad we had blankets though! It got pretty chilly and even all huddled together like we were we would have gotten really cold.
Picnic
A few weeks ago the kids had an early-out. The weather was SO gorgeous out I loaded them up and we went for a picnic. They were so cute and excited to be out...
Crystal came over to join us on her lunch break :)
And we went to a park, and parks have swings. Jared loves to swing. So we took him along too :)
Thank you God for blessing us with such nice weather this spring!
Workday
A few weekends ago we went out to the workday at Mendota Hills.
The weather had taken a chilly turn so in the morning Crystal and I worked inside the activity barn getting it cleaned up and ready for events, but once we finished that, Jared and I voted for an outdoor job. We pulled garbage out of the lake... We also learned that I'm not exactly the best at steering boats... But we got it all cleaned up!
Well, *almost* all cleaned up. There was this big storage drum in the water that had gotten all slimy and filled with water so it was really heavy that we hadn't managed to pull out, so later that night I went back down there and tried to get it out. It didn't work out so well for me. After the guy from the campsite I had drug the drum to the shore by gave me quite a bit of sage advice he decided to just come try it himself... Thankfully it wasn't just me that had trouble getting it out of the water. In the end I just took pictures while Jamie waded into the lake and the campers from the shore all lifted the drum out... :) Thanks guys!It was a fun day of working together, and we got a lot accomplished.

The Name's Easter. Easter Bunny.
Rachel and I both were the Easter Bunny at the mall in Sterling this year. We would switch off every other day or so to make sure that one of us didn't get entirely burned out. I took the first weekend, and Crystal loaded up Josh, his kids and Rachel and they all came to visit "Easter." Devyn didn't think "he" was too cool. She was hysterically sobbing and really didn't want to get anywhere near Easter, but eventually overcame the terror and ended up sitting on Easters lap for a picture. I don't have a copy of that picture to put on here, but I did swipe this one from Crystals phone. I find it quite hilarious! I know its a terrible pic but I can't help but laughing. Hope you enjoy it too!
