Volleyball

Some friends of ours rent out a gym every Saturday and play

volleyball and basketball there. Well, they invited us to come

and a few Saturday's ago we were finally able to take them up

on that invitation! While Dad and Mom were on their vacation

us girls went and played Volleyball!

It had been since last summer since we had played any volleyball

so we were very blessed that our friends were all so patient!!

It was neat that their were a lot of people, we had 5 teams
of 6 people each that played!
:D And it was really nice too that while the other teams were playing
you could sit and talk... We're all pretty good at that :D

Most of the rest of them playing basketball. I've never really gotten

the hang of the whole basketball thing, so I stayed on the sidelines

and took pictures ;)

It was a great time playing volleyball (and such

a great time with friends too!!)

Skiing ;)

Two weeks ago we went skiing! It was our first time ever,

AND the place that we went to (Chestnut Mountain) had a special

deal going on for homeschoolers that day, so that was neat!

I have to admit, the first few times down the hill we were

pretty terrible... But we got the hang of it pretty quickly!

The Hemmer's actually invited us, (and they were so kind and

patient with us) thank you guys!!!!

We didn't take a whole lot of pictures, but here are a few.

We knew a bunch of people that were there that day

so it was really fun to ski with friends, or watch them go down

while we were riding up (or ride up with them) ;)

Yes, that is a river at the bottom... Thankfully they

had it really really fenced off so no one can get close enough

to fall in! Because yes, we all have the lovely quality of being in

that odd percent who would've beat the odds and somehow finagled

our way through all the trees and across the railroad track

to finally land in that frigid water!

We had so much fun! And no major injuries either!!!
