Let the Chronicle begin.

To you all, I am setting myself to chronicle our adventures and escapades while here on vacation so that a year from now we will be able to remember them better. So consider this somewhat as our photojournal. That being said, enjoy the posts! But I just hope they don't become too tedious for you.

Anyway, the night before we left we went and spent the night at Mourey and Marge's house. Leaving from their house got us all to the airport in one car, and also shaved off over an hour of drive time. Plus, we got to be excited together...

We celebrated with ice cream! After everyone else went to bed, Rachel and I helped (or maybe just accompanied) Marge while she packed.
Mourey's very sweet (and genius) idea. The blue plate! See, the timeshare place here only has place settings for 6 people and we have 7. So he went to the campground and brought along one of their plates so that nobody would be without a plate! Thanks Mourey!

Then, Saturday morning while traipsing through the airport we came across this sign :) Mourey saw it and definitely thought we "needed" to pose by it and show Aunt T.

Both flights went great, and on our flight from Miami to here both Dad and Marge made friends with the people sitting next to them. We teased them about the other people never being so glad to get off of a plane, because the really did talk a TON, but actually they all enjoyed it.

We arrived in St. Maarten around 9 on Saturday night. After getting a taxi to our place we tossed all our stuff in our room, ate quick, and then went out for a beautiful night walk on the beach. We literally walk down a flight of stairs, and then turn a corner and are right on the beach!

Our intent on Sunday morning was to have breakfast at 8... That didn't quite happen, but we did make it by 9 :) Then some of them went to the store, but "poor Becky" who's sinuses have decided to hate her and felt like her head weighed 50 lbs and had a massive headache came "home" took some meds and went to bed. That helped enough and by 12 we were out on the beach. All I can say is THANK YOU to everyone who encouraged us to take or sent us along with sunscreen! Certain people who decided not to put it on are fried, but the ones of us who used it are not burned at all except for the funny streaky places where it didn't all get rubbed in.

Mourey made us dinner last night. We ate like horses! After all the time in the water we were starving. He made us hamburgers, mashed potatoes, and a great salad.

After dinner we went for another night beach walk, and then came back here and video chatted with T and Uncle Joe (and Jeremy and Taffie for a few brief moments).

The weather has dawned beautiful and sunshiny today so our plan is to storm the beach and hang there all day. Don't worry, more sunscreen...

Happy Monday all!
