I know its been a few weeks, but I'm finally getting up posts from some of the happenings of our last couple of weeks. Here's a few pictures from our Christmas Day.
We finished Christmas Eve and started Christmas Day by watching "It's a Wonderful Life" after church Saturday night, then finished last minute gift wrapping (which ends up seeming pointless because the nice wrapping is just going to be destroyed in a few short hours...) Anyway, after a few blessed hours of sleep, the dear parents woke us with coffee and we all meandered downstairs to open gifts.
Gifts was followed by breakfast! Friends and family from the area joined us for that. It was a fun way to "start off" the day.
Seconds on coffee were enjoyed by all :) Or chocolate milk for the non coffee ages.
Then, while Josh went out and held the reindeer, SANTA CAME! Devyn and Cameron must have been pretty good children this year...
Breakfast company left to go about their other Christmas excursions and lunch company arrived. More coffee and a few games of Jenga kept us occupied while we waited for side dishes to cook.
Then after a wonderful afternoon of games, visiting and singalong/being serenaded the Deets family came for the evening! It was so wonderful to see them, it had been a long time since we had just been able to hang out for a while. Drena got us a new and very fun game and we tried it out.
Then a walk to go bask in the beauty of the very clear and starfilled skies.
I'm blessed with great family and friends. And thankful...

To check out these posts is really bittersweet for me, it is wonderful to be at least a little bit part of whats going on at home and we're really glad you are having such great days,
but it sometimes really hurts how much we miss you and to see what we are missing out on (buuuhuuuhuuuu!!! )))-:
