Walkin' In A Winter Wonderland...

Friday night was Dixon's annual Christmas Walk!
After Rachel got home from riding lessons (and ever so kindly brought me cappuccino)
we left to go walk around in the first big snow, and Dixon's freezing cold 1st Street!

Hmm, figuring out what setting the camera needed to be on.
Still needs a little work huh?

We started off at KSB hospital for the lighting of their Christmas Tree,
and SANTA!!! And an elf and Mrs. Clause... :)The tree. And the pretty snow coming down just added to the ambiance...
It was so pretty that night!
We came up to a giant crowd at one corner and wondered why there were
so many people crowded together...
It ended up being that the fire department was doing the "snow ball drop."
They were throwing 1,500 ping pong balls from the basket of the truck
and every ball was worth a prize!
So we waited until they threw them out, and our group only
caught 3 but it was still fun to watch!
It looked so cool to have that many people in the same place, and the snow
falling, and the lights... :)
Our group (minus my parents and Mrs. Z).
Wahoo!
:D Me and a traffic cone...
In front of the tree.
Well, that was fun!
We had to leave a little early though because the roads were getting pretty
awful from the snow. Thankfully we all made it home safe!

I had no idea that Dixon would be able to "produce" a big croud like this
Seems like a really fun event, maybe next year we'll be with you (if we are around).

LIFE IS GRAND! Love watching you girls have so much fun. What happens to us when we get older? Life is fun but not goofy. What happens to the goofy in us? Tell me Lord. I WANT TO BE GOOFY AGAIN!

Well, the Christmas Walk is a big event for Dixon, but I think with everyone so crammed into one spot it looked like a lot more people than there probably actually were there...

Lauren, hmmm, come hang out with us for a while. We'll teach you! Or at least try to help out :)

Oh, and maybe you just need a good skydive to perk the goofy back up ;) Only 6 more months!!
