So I'm finally getting around to posting pictures from VBS!
We've did so much since just last week that it seems like
these pictures were from months ago... :)
We had a really great time with all the kids at VBS last week.
Each day was different, and they did wear us out ;) but it
was a lot of fun, and totally worth every minute!
Aunt T was the Snack Lady, and she had the coolest snacks for every day. I loved making the campfire one!
Kathy and Drena took turns doing games.
On Monday Kathy did a game (and I never heard what
it was called) but the kids had to hold a bunch of potatoes and run
with them. And the moral was, that its hard to do something if you
are carrying unnecessary weight, so let God take your burdens.
hold on to all those potatoes :)
The first day there were 8 kids, and on the second day
there were over 20!
decorate them with sticky foam shapes.
And Crystal liked taking pictures :P
It looks like they were all in time out sitting against the wall :)
:) The floor was quite wet by the time the game was over...
us busy peeling it off.
Crushed graham crackers, on the top of a pudding cup,
with teddy grahams for people, and little umbrellas.
and didn't want their pictures taken, but Crystal did manage
to get a few :)
The kids had to fill their cups full of water by carrying
a spoonful at a time from a bowl at the other side of the room.
(I hope I picked right!!)
and did the part of the lesson each day, the kids got to make
paper bag puppets for their craft one day!
they made their puppet. How it was decorated, what colors,
how much and how long of hair, ect...
one bottle of glue, (to put the eyes and hair on) and one pair
of scissors to cut the yarn that we used for hair.
So it did take quite a while, but the kids all loved it!
They were plain donut balls, with chocolate frosting on top, and
they had crushed heath bar candy and a mini pretzel rod in order
to finish it off!
They tasted great and looked SO cool!
put on all the clothes that were in your bag first.
It was a major hit, and some of the adults played too :)
He talked to the kids about how God had changed his life,
and that Jesus was the only thing worth anything to him now.
And again it was fun seeing the kids decorate their pizzas.
Some of them would do designs, others would just pile it on,
or separate their fruits, or eat it all separate.
The kids had to do a relay race and see whose team could get done first!
They used balls and made the kids do different things with them.
Roll it on the ground just using your nose to push it,
hop while holding the ball between your knees, two people hold
it between their heads, stuff like that.
Oh yeah!
We had such a great time, and I really hope that we
impacted some kids' lives!
Thank you Jesus for giving us such a wonderful opportunity!
