Memorial Day.

For the last 5 or 6 years, on Memorial Day, we have
attended a service at the Nelson cemetery.
Dad does a short message and Rachel plays 'taps' to conclude.
The first year there were only like 15 people there, (including
my family) but every year it seems that the numbers increase
and this year there were probably about 40.
This year I was asked to play Amazing Grace.
Its a good thing the service didn't last too long, because the wind
was so strong poor dad had to basically keep his arm across his
book/binder thing that his notes were in.
The wind was a bit of a challenge for playing violin.
But was so thankful that I had memorized my music!
Rachel's trumpet had no problem with the wind.
Thank you to all the service men and women who are defending,
or have defended our freedom!
And, let us never forget to give tribute to all who have given
their lives so that we may have ours.
