Yesterday was the Dixon Parade. Tools for Schools walked and passed out pencils. Those attractive yellow shirts...
And ooooh my, we wore eraser hats too...
Super fun! It was warm, yes, but its amazing what a smile can change. When we were moping around because of the heat, we were all getting a little miserable, but put a smile on, and we started having lots of fun!
Secretly I love the whole gaudy yellow shirt thing... Orrr not so secretly...
We were one of the last "floats" so we got to wait for a long time before we even started walking. So we made the best of our time and stood in the shade and waved at the other floats that had already finished the parade route and were driving down the road leaving... ;)
Then we all congregated at Wendys to cool down and eat.
This dude bought us all lunch... Thanks Terry!!!
