It worked! Now for a picture :)

I'm so excited! This is way easier than I expected it would be!
Last Monday night Devyn was drawing pictures and practicing her writing, Rachel set her to "drawing a picture for Backy" yes Backy. That's what she calls me :)
I don't know how well you can see the picture, but it's supposed to be Devyn on the bottom left, and then the other things are Taffie and Me :) and you gotta love children's spelling... My name is spelled Baceeyy...

fake farmers :)

So, this weekend I got to 'farm sit' :) And Becky remarked as she was helping out, that she liked to be a 'Fake Farmer' So the name kinda stuck...

So, Ameena doesn't look too happy that I am hugging her... but hey it's the best one we got :)

This is Lujah. his sister goat is Halle... get it, Halle-Lujah :) :)

I took the girls on a ride :) didn't give them any saddles.. it was quite fun to watch :D

Growing up.

Well, I got these pictures off of my phone, and unfortunately can't seem to get them any larger than this... Anyway, a few weekends ago, Josh took Devyn to go and get her ears pierced :*) She'd been wanting it done for a while and he finally decided to take her. Good ol' Aunt "Backy" got to go along...

Once she found the "perfect" earrings (rainbow stripes) they handed her a teddy bear to hold in one hand, and Daddy kneeled in front and held the other hand... 1! 2! 3! And they're done!

A few tears and hugs later she was tromping the store aisles so proud of herself.This little girly and her brother are growing up so fast. I love them. I'm feel so blessed that I get to be a part of their lives. Thanks God...

Sunday

Yesterday is sadly deprived of many pictures. Alas, the day started off with my
"green smoothie" what my family tells me is a gross way to start my morning, but I think it tastes pretty good, and I get my spinach in for the day... Its spinach, a banana and a little yogurt.

After church we went on an afternoon girls roadtrip! A buddy had invited us down to watch a play in Bloomington, so we decided why not?! and went! And we had a great time too! I have to admit, we were all ready to be out of the car by the time we arrived home that night though.
When we got home we all immediately changed into exercise clothes because we were just so darn tired of sitting still, and it was SO nice outside.
Its kind of crazy though how sitting so long can just feel like it exhausts you. After walking we basically came in, flopped in front of the tv while we ate and headed off to bed. I had to satisfy my craving... So I had Whole wheat french toast, with vanilla yogurt, cinnamon, and a little of a walnut/dried cranberry/and chocolate chip mixture :) Yum!
And now we're back to Monday... Let the new week commence!

Welcome Home!

Our dear friend Samantha had been away in Texas for 3 weeks, and so the day after she got back her family threw her a surprise welcome home party! As heathen of pastor's children as we may have appeared, we skipped out on a prayer meeting and headed to celebrate!We waited and waited for her to get home, one of her sister had taken her bowling to get her out of the house. And when we got the call that they were a few minutes away we all scurried up the stairs to hide. I got to stake out in the corner of the stairway and take a video. It was so fun surprising her! She was startled that there were people yelling when she walked in and then it took a few seconds for her to realize that they were all there for her :) I love this girl!

Some of the younger siblings had to head to bed, so we settled into the 4 seasons room to play some "Apples to Apples". Won by yours truly!! :) I like winning games...We are so glad you're back Sam!!!
